I know I've said this before, but music speaks to me in huge ways. And, sometimes the lyrics to a song can just blow me away because it seems to fit my life so perfectly. That's just what happened yesterday when I REALLY listened to the words of this song. Then I started thinking about some of my bloggy friends and readers who seem to struggle with the same things I do.
So, this song is for all of you. Here are a few of the lyrics. You've prolly heard the song, if not, google this chick, Francesca Battistelli, and listen on the internet. She's good.
Free To Be Me
Got a couple dents in my fender
Got a couple rips in my jeans
Try to fit the pieces together
Perfection is my enemy.
On my own I'm so clumsy
But on your shoulders, I can see
I'm free to be me.
Hope you all have a wonderful day of rest and that the Lord renews your sweet souls today. I saw a sign at a church that read "You know you're getting older when it takes longer to rest than it did to get tired." True dat!
B.
